Our Cross-Country Move: A Lesson in Embracing Uncertainty

One of the greatest truths I’ve learned came from Mastin Kipp while attending his retreat in Maui, which he also wrote about on his blog:

Why You Need a Theme Song

Each morning, as part of my daily routine, I blast and sing along to my theme song Defying Gravity by Idina Menzel.

I first learned of the theme song concept while watching the show Ally McBeal, when Ally was told by her therapist to choose a song to play in her head that made her feel good.

While I appreciate that songs can express the full spectrum of emotions, I love songs that are uplifting and empowering, especially in the mornings.

In fact, I created the list below of feel-good songs because I was so tired of being dictated by the songs played on the radio, which often had depressing or self-deprecating lyrics.

How I Manifested a Free Trip to Maui (and How You Can Manifest Your Own Dreams Into Reality)

Many of you know that I went to Maui this past summer to attend a retreat. What you may not know is that I got to go for free, and that I did it by manifesting it into reality.
